Laptop screen is cracked, because I stepped on it! can it be replaced or should I get a new one? ?

I stepped on my laptop and didn't realize I cracked the screen.. It was a complete accident.. Now when I open it the laptop screen is busted and I can see a message but very little! Is it worth gettin it replaced? And if so how much?
