Why did my female dwarf gourami die?

I've had her for a little less than a month and all of a sudden she gets bigger ( witch is either from eggs cuz I have a male flanking dwarf gourami with her and a bunch of other fish, or she got bloated- idk wat from but maybe cuz when ifeed my fish in the morning and at night, she eats Alot both times. I didnt notice any Distink signs on her for diseases. Or any bite marks possibly from the male gourami. Yesterday she started laying on the ground and on the top of the tank! I'm confused cuz none of my other fish died!
